Gazey Architects is a young architectural practice that was formed in 2011 by Chartered Architect, Gareth Gazey. After graduating top of his academic year with a First Class honours degree, Gareth worked at several prestigious and award-winning practices, including Wilkinsoneyre Architects and Building Design Partnership.

Our particular expertise is working within the residential sector and around existing buildings (listed or otherwise) and includes refurbishments, conversions, extensions and new build.

Our experience spans a range of sectors including Civic, Cultural, Education, Residential and Retail but our particular expertise is working within and around existing buildings, including many Listed Buildings.

We do not limit ourselves to any particular client or project type, greatly enjoying the variety.

Approach
We approach each project with an open, humble and collaborative attitude. Professionalism and sustainability underpin our creative output.

Each individual project is approached with equal enthusiasm and passion with the aim of achieving a tailored solution to suit any size or budget.

We put great effort into understanding a building’s context and the needs of its users, a process which often yields original or unconventional solutions. They each have in common their approach rather than a stylistic signature.

Architecture
We provide a project and site specific architecture of the highest quality and approach every scheme as a fresh challenge ensuring that our solution is completely appropriate to the brief.

Our objective is, through rigorous analysis of the social, environmental and economic drivers, consultation, collaboration and understanding, to make places and buildings that are appropriate to their function that improve with age.

Community Consultation and Collaboration

We place great importance on constructive consultation with clients, neighbours, members of the local community, consultants and end users in an inclusive and unpretentious approach. As a practice, we believe firm management of the design process and meticulous listening and communication skills enable us to bring understanding, trust and enable others to take a stake in projects.
